One of the best parts about living in LA is all the good Mexican food. There’s a tasty spot right near the shop. I see this sign every time and it makes me laugh. Thought I’d share it with you. Awesome.

I did this fun rockabilly style skull on a cool guy from Brooklyn NYC. He and his wife came to Los Angeles for their honeymoon and a tattoo.

Last night Salli and I went to check out the opening of “Irezumi Bijin” featuring the artwork of Ozuma Kaname and Horiyoshi III. It was an amazing and impressive collection. It was great to meet Ozuma and Horiren at the recent convention and again last night. Here are a few pictures from the show.

Finished up a “dia de los muertos” or “day of the dead” tattoo this week. I look forward to doing more cool tattoos on this guys arm.

Today I made this fun winged girl on the leg of a new UK friend of mine. He was out on warped tour all summer and came into the shop to get tattooed before heading back to England. I think he named her Sylvia… Have a safe trip home dude.

Hey guys, the Tattoo Hollywood convention has come and gone. It was a fun weekend. It was great to see friends and make a bunch of new ones. This weekend I also entered and won my first tattoo contest. My good friend Ryan entered a piece we did recently on his his leg. We ended up winning 1st place for best male medium color tattoo. Thanks Ryan you rock and thanks to everyone who came by the booth to hang out, say hi and get tattooed.

In the past I haven’t worked at many conventions. I plan on traveling a bit more and working a few more conventions throughout the year.

For those of you guys that are looking for something to do tomorrow night in the South Bay area… Be sure to stop by Suzy’s in Hermosa Beach. The crew of Union Electric Tattoo and I will be part of a live painting art show. There will be live music and loads of give-a-ways.
